Cultivating Success: The HIVED journey
17% of our depot and office team initially started as drivers and whilst our HIVED team continues to grow, we want to celebrate and reflect upon those who have started in the delivery team and have found their passion in wider areas of the company.
Tanbir Shahnur, Operations Manager at HIVED, first joined the delivery team in 2022. His HIVED journey began after being drawn to the “exciting potential of a startup where every idea and effort can have a tangible impact” and further reflected upon his journey through the business.

Tanbir’s experiences he gained whilst delivering have translated into valuable knowledge in his current role of Operations Manager that now contributes towards supporting our delivery team’s success.
Another spotlight is on Kevin Smith, who was one of the very first employees at HIVED and started as a cyclist in 2021. Since then, Kevin has excelled through his career, currently focusing on building out our revenue protection department. With continuous support, Kevin quickly transitioned from his role as a cyclist into strategic positions within the company, where his first-hand experience on the road has been invaluable.
As HIVED has continued to grow, Kevin reflected on how his journey began: “What immediately stood out was that there was not a single delivery done with a regular combustion engine, and seeing that every day we continue to have a bigger and bigger influence on moving the needle to reduce pollution. Plus, we get to do it in a way that also makes life easier for customers in an industry that is notoriously mediocre when it comes to customer satisfaction”.
