Becoming an official Certified B Corporation means joining a global movement of businesses using profit and growth to create a positive impact. It’s one of the most respected and rigorous certifications in the world, recognising companies that meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

How we have raised the green standard in parcel delivery

When you click “order now,” you probably aren’t thinking about what happens next. But behind the scenes, parcel delivery is one of the UK’s most polluting industries, and without decisive change, global last-mile carbon emissions are projected to rise by 60% by 2030 (source).

We started HIVED in 2021 to change that trajectory. To our knowledge, we are the only delivery company in the world running a fully end-to-end all-electric delivery network, using eHGVs for nationwide middle-mile collections from ecommerce brand warehouses and electric vans for last-mile deliveries. 

That means every single one of the millions of HIVED delivery so far has been delivered 100% electric. On average, a HIVED delivery emits just 80 grams of CO₂e (based on our independent Life Cycle Assessment), which is a up to 76% reduction compared to traditional diesel-operating carriers. This is the lowest emissions rate we’re aware of in the UK parcel industry, based on publicly available data for the UK’s top five carriers.

But electrification alone isn’t enough to build a truly sustainable business. We’ve redesigned the system itself, from smarter route planning that cuts unnecessary miles and operational processes that minimise waste, to building genuine relationships with the communities where we operate.

For us, this milestone is a reminder of why HIVED exists: to prove that logistics can be better for business, for people, and for the planet. The future of delivery is already here, and we’re driving it forward every day.
