HIVED and Who Gives A Crap have partnered to make the brand’s last-mile delivery more sustainable.

HIVED operates the UK’s only fully electric parcel delivery network built for ecommerce across the south of the UK, with every one of those parcels cuts emissions by up to 76% compared with a standard diesel delivery, saving up to 140g of CO₂ per delivery while maintaining a 99%+ on-time attempted delivery rate.

A natural fit

From today, around one in four of Who Gives A Crap’s UK orders will be delivered through HIVED’s fully electric fleet, covering Greater London, Bristol, Bath, Bournemouth, Plymouth and Southampton.

Who Gives A Crap has spent over a decade proving that sustainability and great products go hand in hand. From bamboo and recycled fibres to packaging designed to fit more rolls into every truck, the business has continually looked for ways to reduce its environmental impact. Along the way, it has helped save the equivalent of 1.8 million trees, offset more than 80,000 tonnes of CO₂, and donated 50% of its profits to clean water and sanitation projects around the world.

For many retailers, the final mile remains one of the hardest parts of the supply chain to decarbonise. By bringing HIVED into its delivery network, Who Gives A Crap is ensuring its sustainability commitments extend all the way to the customer’s doorstep.

Anna Dominey, UK General Manager at Who Gives A Crap, said:

“Our customers choose us because they want to make simple swaps that are better for the planet. By partnering with HIVED, we’re making sure more of our loo roll arrives with a much lighter footprint.”

Andrew Baker, VP of Sales at HIVED, added:

"Who Gives A Crap proves that sustainable operating models and a great customer experience go hand in hand. We're proud to partner with a brand that shares those values, handling every order in our network with the same care and commitment customers expect."

Two B Corps, one standard

This partnership brings together two Certified B Corporations committed to using business as a force for good. While customers often think about sustainability in terms of the products they buy, delivery is an equally important part of the overall experience.

Being Certified B Corporations reflects a shared belief that sustainability should extend across every stage of the customer journey, from the product itself to the delivery on the doorstep.

As HIVED continues to expand its electric delivery network across the UK, partnerships like this demonstrate what’s possible when sustainability extends beyond the product itself and into every stage of the customer journey.
