HIVED announces our $42 million Series B


We are proud to share HIVED’s Series B funding, as we continue to accelerate HIVED’s UK rollout, grow our engineering and data team, and scale development of our proprietary logistics intelligence platform, HIVEDmind. This investment puts HIVED on track as we scale nationwide, building our AI-powered, customer-centric and all-electric delivery network.
The UK has the third-largest ecommerce market in the world, after China and the US, responsible for ~10% of our GDP with incumbent logistics firms retro-fitting for ecommerce by shifting their legacy systems. In contrast, HIVED has built its parcel delivery network explicitly for ecommerce, from the ground up. Our HIVEDmind platform uses AI, real-time data, and modern architecture to connect retailers, warehouses, drivers and end customers like never before, through a single, integrated, fully synchronised end-to-end system.
After our seed round in 2021, followed by our Series A announcement in 2023, HIVED has delivered over 6.5 million parcels across Greater London for the likes of John Lewis, Nespresso, Uniqlo and Zara, with 99% on-time delivery. The HIVED team has recently grown to 120+ people, with 20% having initially joined the company as drivers, and the funding will be used to accelerate hiring, fuel HIVED’s expansion into several new UK cities, and further develop its proprietary models.
With real-time tracking and delivery intelligence, “Where Is My Order” (WISMO) customer enquiries have been cut by more than 90%, compared to other carriers, and its claims-rate (lost-in-transit, damages and so on) is more than 10x better than industry standards. All of which combines to see HIVED consistently achieve customer satisfaction ratings of 90%+ – compared to the 32% scores seen elsewhere in the industry.
